Sea Gull Bunk Suite

Sea Gull Bunk Suite

Description
Cayucos is a beach town built for families. Surfers work the break beside a historic wooden pier while kids build sandcastles below, and the whole downtown fits into a few walkable blocks of antique shops, bakeries, and casual seafood spots. The town throws one of the Central Coast’s best Fourth of July celebrations, and on ordinary days the biggest decision is whether to start with coffee and cookies or head straight for the sand. Locals call it the last of the old California beach towns, and kids tend to agree.

Location
Cayucos sits on California’s Central Coast roughly halfway between Los Angeles and San Francisco, minutes north of Morro Bay along Highway 1. This suite is the rear unit of the historic Sea Gull property, set back from the street a couple of blocks from downtown and a short walk to the beach, restaurants, and shops. Park once and you can reach nearly everything on foot, which makes the location especially easy with children in tow. The Cayucos Pier is a favorite spot to drop a line, and no license is required to fish from the pier itself, though shore and rock fishing do require one. Start with the Cayucos history and highlights guide, then look through family friendly activities along Highway 1 for beachcombing spots, wildlife encounters, and rainy-day backups.

Layout
This fully remodeled 500 square foot suite has one bedroom and two full baths and accommodates up to 4 adults, or 5 with children. The bedroom holds a queen bed and its own electric fireplace, with a door separating it from the living area for privacy. The living room sleeps the rest of the group on a queen sleeper sofa and a twin bunk bed, and both full baths feature step-in showers. A large sliding glass door and generous windows keep the space bright and open onto a private patio. The suite shares the restored 1930s Sea Gull grounds with the Sea Gull Queen Suite and the three bedroom Casa Cayucos, and all three units can be reserved together to accommodate up to 18 guests with children.

Amenities
The full kitchen is stocked for family meals or for packing snacks to take along the coast, with counter height seating for casual dining. A large smart television and a second electric fireplace anchor the living room, and the fireplaces run with or without heat when you just want the glow. High speed Wi-Fi, linens, towels, and beach essentials are all provided. One dedicated parking space is included in the off-street gravel lot with additional street parking nearby, and this is a non smoking property where pets are not permitted.
